Candle Care

We're so glad you've made the choice to "burn safely" in your home! To get the most out of your Kenly House candle, follow these candle care tips:

  • When You Burn

    • The first time you burn your candle, leave it lit until the entire wax pool is melted to avoid tunneling, this usually is about 3-4 hours
    • Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time
    • Always trim your wicks to ¼” before burning – you can do this with scissors, nail clippers, or a wick trimmer

  • Safety Tips

    • Never leave your trimmed wick in the wax pool
    • Keep the candle on a flat, fire-resistant surface
    • Keep your candles out of reach of children and animals
    • Keep away from flammable materials
    • Never leave a lit candle unattended

  • After You Burn

    • Your candle is finished when there is about ¼ inch of wax left in the container
    • If you’d like to recycle your candle jar, clean it out by pouring near boiling water into the jar. This causes wax to melt and float to the top where it can be removed after it's cooled
